What can Reflexology do for me?
Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that the body has an energy system that runs in vertical "Zones" which travel the length
and breadth of the body, as a result there are areas or points in the feet and hands which relate to all the organs, glands and the structure of
the body. |
Pressure is applied to the reflex points to stimulate the body structure or system. The improved performance of glands and organs brings the body back to a state of balance and health.
The goal of reflexology, in effect, is to re-educate, re-pattern and re-condition nerves so that the body can heal itself by using that self correcting system.
Vertical Reflexology Therapy (VRT)
- Helps reduces digestive problems, headaches and insomnia.
- Reduces stress and induces deep relaxation.
- Improves circulation and cleanses the body of impurities.
- Revitalizes energy.
- Breaks down the crystalline deposits, removing blockages in the nerve and energetic pathways.
- Stimulates creativity and productivity.
- It's also a useful self-help technique.
Practised on the feet/hands in a standing, weight -bearing position. This unique reflexology technique was originally developed to help orthopaedic conditions but has subsequently proved successful in treating many health problems.
When the feet are worked on in the standing position, you are able to access deeper reflexes and the bodies receptivity to healing energies has shown profound change. VRT is a quick and effective treatment in it's own right and can help with chronic and acute problems. Combined with conventional reflexology I have been able to help many clients recover and accelerate their body's natural healing process.
VRT is very effective in just five minutes you can revitalise the body, release stress and loosen a stiff back or neck, especially when you find yourself sitting or driving for long periods of time. Self-help techniques are shown to the client, as this aspect of reflexology is very important. A few minutes a day spent working on your own hands or feet is a very important part of taking responsibility for your own well-being. This can accelerate the natural healing process between sessions.
